Mr. Zimmer is a recognized leader in the field of sustainable development and design. From 1979 to 1988, Mr. Zimmer was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotels, Inc., a hotel organization whose properties are described as extraordinarily innovative. As Rosewood CEO, he had total responsibility for the development and operation of all of rosewood’s projects and is acknowledged as the creative force behind their success. In addition, his special expertise in the development and execution of food and beverage concepts and operations is demonstrated by the acclaim afforded his distinctive restaurant.

Mrs. Zimmer is co-founder of Zimmer Associates International and serves as its Director of Design. She is the primary designer within the company, developing each project’s vision into an exemplary model of beauty and function. Mrs. Zimmer has over 18 years of interior design experience. She was affiliated with GBA Architects, Bennett, Martin and Solka Architects, Santa Fe Contract Design, and Robinson Hallenberg Interior Design.
Mrs. Zimmer’s signature style is apparent in her ability to translate the client’s vision into a design that creatively blends color, harmony, balance, spatial relationship, proportion and style. The end product conveys a unique touch and evokes a great sense of place.
Her extensive experience includes the creation of interiors for hotels, resorts, spas, restaurants, retail spaces, medical buildings, aircraft, yachts and residences. Mrs. Zimmer’s artistry and exceptional design skill are evident in such notable properties as monasterio del Cusco and Las Nazarenas in Peru; Sanctuary Lodge and Conservation Lodge in Machu Picchu, Peru; Club Playa Carmel in Costa Rica; The Golden Door Spa at the Boulders in Carefree Arizona; Charleston Place Hotel in South Carolina; The Oprah Winfrey Residence and the Peaks at Telluride, Colorado; Maroma Resort and Spa, Riviera Maya, Mexico; La Cabaña Restaurant, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and La Residencia, Mallorca, Spain.
